Area:
The district of Charlottenburg – Wilmersdorf is an area to the south west of the new centre of Berlin. During the cities division the Kurfurstendamm a central street within the district, quickly established itself as the main location for shopping and the centre of West Berlin, which is still home to the biggest department store in Europe today (Ka De We).
